The travel begins 23rd May. Apparently drinking heavily is the worst thing you can do before a long haul flight, so after college I went to meet up with former workmates from Siemens and later Capital One for drinking until 1 am. A hectic day of packing and looking after roofers as they put up scaffolding and fixed my roof(!) then an afternoon trip to Heathrow for a 9pm departure.
I am on a mission now so no time for anything as frivolous as a stopover, three hours wait at Hong Kong then back on the plane.
One night on the West Coast: New Plymouth at my parents place to say hello (and pinch mums car),
then off to the East Coast, stopping on the way for some typical Kiwi cuisine of a meat pie, L&P and Watties tomato sauce.
Then arriving at the Athenree summer house.. home for the next five weeks.
