Luckily for me because of the daily flying I seem to have now adjusted to the motions and no worries about the chicken fillet sub returning to visit me in my lap.
Stalls.. now there is an interesting one. To the uninitiated this may seem like switching off the engine and attempting to recover the plane while plummeting to the earth. But it is not quite so bad. And all done in a controlled manner, of course!
A visit to the Air Traffic Control tower to meet the guys keeping the Tauranga airspace under control.
Then advanced stalls, reaching new heights of 3000ft (it’s a bit nippy) and introducing flaps and throttle variations. Also I have been doing more and more hands on with the takeoffs and landings. Although for the pictures taken from the runway I was not driving at the same time!
Unfortunately while putting the plane away in the hanger I seem to have somehow gotten my head whacked by the wing tip. My head hurts.
After the site closes the pilots and us pilot wannabies head to the local Aero-bar for a Friday night beer to chew over the weeks antics.
Technical: 1.8 hours, Stalls and Advanced Stalls
