Wow what a great day. A lie in in the morning, and in to the airport in the afternoon for another cross-country.
A bit of a longer run this time, from Tauranga to Hamilton to Te Kuiti and back, with the addition of submitting a flight plan. A beautiful summers day and great views.
Hamilton control zone was not as busy as I thought it would be, we lined up fine for a touch-and-go, then lifted off and headed South to the very small strip of Te Kuiti for a couple of circuits and a (near) touch and go.
I still can’t get over how fast it is even in this small plane.. Te Kuiti to Tauranga was 36 minutes flight, it’s hours by car!
I am loving this travel and itching to get going again, I think I have the plane for almost the whole day tomorrow so if the weather is good, I will tackle another cross-country, wicked!
