More lovely flying weather, in and around Matakana Island. The snappily titled FLWOP was the exercise of the day, Forced Landing Without Power. Fly up, cut the throttle and glide down to line up for an emergency landing.

Somehow today the radio work seemed to fall into place, being the calls to and from the control tower. Which is nice, the more you fly, the more certain aspects become automatic, so you can focus on other things!

I was given a schedule for the next week to reach PPL, a very busy agenda it is too. Unfortunately in the days I have left the schedule has no room to get the cross-countries in, which means a restricted PPL, whereby there is a limited range you can fly from a starting airport.

And then dressing up in our op-shop finery for a night out in Waihi Beach. Here I was going through a brunette phase. Later in the night I was going through a blonde phase.

Technical: Dual 0.9 hrs, solo 2.3 hrs, forced landings without power
