Well this news sort of blows away all before and probably after it… today I flew my first solo!
There is no way really to describe the sensations, concentration, fear, elation.. not necessarily in that order. Any pilots out there know what I’m talkin-bout.
In other less awesome pictures, we see here cloud cover in the morning, the bustling nerve centre of the flight school where the guys are pretending to be busily talking on the phone, and pretending to be doing something other than Facebook on the computer.
And the lord and master himself came down from the lofty heights of his office (styled after a Yorkshire air traffic control centre) to check my general behaviour before the solo.
What more can I say except – wow!
