Today is the day of the big trip, halfway around the globe.
A chilly start in Basel with a high of -1, and snow, snow and more snow! Not a good start to the day. A late night, a callout at 3am, an early trip to the dentist then a day at work.
That evening a train to Zurich, and a delayed departure for loading, and so the plane could undergo a hosedown from de-icing trucks. This made for a tight connection at Hong Kong, still that has got to be better than waiting around in transit for hours. Then the domestic flight from Auckland to New Plymouth, on the West coast.

Summer. Awesome. Still, the forecast is not looking too great for next week on the East coast, with any luck the weather will be good enough for flying.
I am going to do my best to update this blog every day while I am here as I count down to flight test. If the weather is with me. Tomorrow.. the drive East!
