JammingCompass.. WestieCompassMmmm.. steakEstuary

Today I am pleased to report there was much less stomach inversion. The exercise of the day was Compass Turns, where you try and picture the compass in your mind and where you will need to turn, and for how long to find your new heading. Interestingly, as the compass is suspended in liquid, it keeps turning even after you have stopped. Sometimes, depending on which heading you have chosen. Other times, it turns less.

So a much more sedate pace and great views (I know, repeat..) and nice weather. Two flights today.

Pictures are: a minor jam on the way in, the compass that has been under so much scrutiny today, eye-fillet steak, one of many great reasons to come to NZ, and the view of the estuary seen from the front of the summer house.

The frightening Navigation exam which was going to be tonight, has been put off until Thursday night, when I will do both Nav and my resit of the failed one. Which leaves me the joyous task of .. more study!

Technical: Dual 0.8 hrs, solo 1.0 hrs, Compass Turns.
